What types and materials are available?
By material: Common materials include natural rubber latex, nitrile rubber, and polyvinyl chloride (PVC). Latex gloves have good elasticity, while nitrile gloves are more chemically resistant.
By sterilization status: Gloves are divided into sterilized and non-sterile types. Sterile gloves undergo sterilization treatment with ethylene oxide, etc., and are specifically used for aseptic procedures such as surgery. Non-sterile gloves are generally used for routine examinations.
By surface treatment: Early gloves used talcum powder for ease of wear, but now the mainstream design is powder-free to avoid powder causing allergies or contaminating wounds. Surfaces also come in textured and smooth finishes; textured surfaces offer better slip resistance.
