Hemodialysis catheter

Hemodialysis catheters are vascular access devices established during hemodialysis treatment, primarily used to draw blood out of the body for purification and then return it to the body. Based on their usage duration and insertion site, they are mainly divided into temporary catheters (such as internal jugular vein catheters) and long-term catheters (such as tunneled catheters with a Dacron cuff). The selection of a catheter requires a comprehensive assessment considering the patient’s condition, vascular conditions, and dialysis needs.
